Carla Forte Maiolino Molento is Full Professor at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Brazil, where she coordinates the Animal Welfare Laboratory (LABEA/UFPR) and the Cellular Animal Science Laboratory (Zoocel/UFPR). She holds a DVM from UFPR, a Ph.D. from McGill University (Canada). Her work integrates animal welfare science, ethics, and alternative protein systems, with particular emphasis on cellular agriculture and methods that reduce or replace the use of animals in food production. She supervises graduate and postgraduate research and is a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow (Level B).
